The role of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce Inc. is to promote business vitality in Tauranga and the western Bay of Plenty.

We aim to do this by having thriving Chamber members in a vibrant business environment.

We have a membership of over 700 organisations who we help to be successful through providing a wide variety of services.

The Chamber offers training and networking events, member discounts and promotional opportunities, and provides information, support and business advice. We are also contracted to deliver a range of government contracts to build business capability and support the business community.  We also facilitate major events such as the Westpac Tauranga Business Awards.

Our services help drive business growth and prosperity, and make our community and region the best place to live, work, study, play and visit through effective and relevant advocacy, networking, education and leadership.

We have a significant interest in regional economic development and a direct role in delivering programmes which enhance business capability development. 

As part of the Smart Economy Action Group, in partnership with agencies like New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Priority One, Export NZ BOP, and the Sustainable Business Network, we work cooperatively to deliver the sub-regional economic development strategy - Smart Economy.  We also actively participate in the Connect group which delivers the wider Bay of Plenty economic strategy - Bay of Connections.
